Personalised 2027 diaries and calendars: what to choose and when to order

Agendas y calendarios 2027 personalizados: qué elegir y cuándo encargarlo

Of everything a company gives away in December, the diary and the calendar are the only objects the recipient looks at every single day of the following year. A bottle gets used now and then; a notebook runs out. A desktop calendar stays on the desk for twelve months, your logo right there, while that person takes calls and makes decisions.

That’s why they still work. And that’s why it’s worth choosing them with a bit more thought than «whichever one’s cheapest.»

Perpetual calendar: the one that never expires

It’s the option we get asked for most since we added it, and it makes sense. A perpetual calendar doesn’t have the year printed on it: you set it by hand, and it works for 2027, 2028 and beyond. That changes two things.

The first is environmental, and it’s obvious: it doesn’t end up in the bin every December. The second is about branding, and it gets overlooked more than it should: your logo doesn’t have an expiry date. Last year’s calendar gets thrown away; the perpetual one stays.

Desktop calendar: the classic that sits on the desk

The triangular ring-bound format is the tried-and-tested classic, and it works because it’s the one people actually leave out. Plenty of surface for the logo, recycled cardboard, and a price that lets you run large quantities without blowing the budget.

A practical tip: the design matters more than the product itself. A well thought-out desktop calendar — with a good image for each month, or key dates for your client’s sector marked in — stays on the desk. One with a big logo and little else ends up in a drawer by February.

Plantable calendar: the one that ends up as flowers

The Krily Calendar is printed on seed paper: once the year is over, it gets planted and germinates. Thirteen sheets, from 1,33 €/unit.

It’s the kind of detail people photograph and talk about, and it fits best if your company has an environmental message to back up. It’s not the cheapest per unit, but it’s the one that generates the most conversation per euro spent. If you have to pick a single gift for select clients, this one holds its own.

Diaries: when they’re worth it

A diary is a more personal and more expensive gift, so it works best in smaller quantities and for specific recipients: the leadership team, key clients, speakers at an event.

The material says a lot. A natural cork or recycled leather diary with laser engraving conveys something quite different from a PU one with a screen-printed logo, and the cost difference is smaller than people imagine. If you’re giving fifty diaries, upgrade the material before the quantity.

On format: A5 is the standard and the most widely used; B5 — like the Bultman Diary — looks better on a desk but doesn’t travel as well in a backpack. And if you’re torn between an elastic closure or a magnetic clasp, the clasp ages better.

When to place the order

Here’s the mistake that repeats every year: it gets decided in December.

Between October and November, lead times are comfortable and everything’s in stock. In December, demand across the whole sector piles up into three weeks, production times stretch out, and your options shrink to whatever’s still available. It’s not that it won’t arrive — it’s that you’re choosing from a smaller pool.

Our recommendation is to finalise quantities and logo before 15 November if you want it ready for the Christmas lunch, and before 1 December if you’re handing it out in January as a new year gift.

Which branding technique to choose

On bamboo and cork, laser engraving: it looks elegant, doesn’t fade, and lasts as long as the product does. On cardboard and paper, screen printing or full-colour printing, depending on whether your logo is flat or has gradients. On PU covers, screen printing gives colour and heat-embossing gives a more understated finish.

Every product page shows the available techniques with live pricing, so you can compare without asking for a quote.
