When a company chooses promotional eco-friendly products, certifications are the only real guarantee that those products deliver on their promises. Without certification, any product can be called «eco» — and that is greenwashing.
At Greenly, not all our products are certified, and when one is, its product page says so. These are the certifications you’ll find in our catalogue:
The most stringent standard for organic textiles worldwide. It guarantees that fibres are from certified organic sources (minimum 70%) and that the entire production chain meets strict environmental and social criteria.
Which products carry it? T-shirts, cotton bags, toiletry bags and textile accessories from our organic cotton catalogue.
Verifies that a product contains genuine recycled material and audits the social, environmental and chemical practices of its production. Traceable from recycled raw material to the finished product.
Which products carry it? rPET backpacks, water bottles, pencil cases and tech accessories from our recycled products catalogue.
Certifies that textiles have been tested and are free from more than 100 harmful substances. It is the guarantee that the product is safe for direct contact with skin.
Which products carry it? Our entire textile range: t-shirts, caps, scarves and cotton bags.
Guarantees that wood and paper come from responsibly managed forests. Full traceability from forest to finished product.
Which products carry it? Notebooks, notepads, pencils and packaging from our wood products catalogue.
Verifies the exact percentage of organic material in a product. Complements GOTS in products with fibre blends, ensuring that the declared organic content is genuine.
Each certification has a verification system:
A quick guide to knowing what to look for in each case:
If a supplier cannot tell you what certification a product has or show it to you, that is your answer. Demanding certification is not a technical detail: it is what protects your company against new environmental claims regulations.
At Greenly, each product in our catalogue indicates which certifications it carries. If you have any questions, get in touch — we provide documentation for any product.
GOTS certifies the whole textile process: the organic fibre plus environmental and social criteria in manufacturing. OCS only verifies how much organic fibre the product contains.
No. OEKO-TEX Standard 100 guarantees that the textile has been tested for harmful substances, but it does not certify that the fibre is organic or recycled.
That the product contains recycled material and that its traceability has been checked throughout the production chain.
That the wood or paper comes from responsibly managed forests or from recycled material.
Ask for the manufacturer’s certificate with its licence number and look it up in the label’s public database.
Yes. We provide the manufacturer’s certificate and the technical data sheet for each certified product.
